Kunjal’s career in community pharmacy started in 1995 when she got her first Saturday job as a Healthcare Assistant at Boots The Chemist. She worked during her A-level studies and continued throughout her MPharm degree. Graduating in 2001, she carried out her pre-registration year at Moss Chemist. Once qualified, Kunjal worked as a relief pharmacist, gaining experience working in a variety of pharmacies across the Midlands. She then worked as a pharmacist manager for various pharmacies. For the last 12 years she has been working at her local Lloydspharmacy. She is very passionate about her role and enjoys working in her local community. In 2018 she decided it was time to update her skill set and she chose to study for a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy at DMU. It was whilst studying for the Diploma that Kunjal realised that she would like to move into Academia and use her skills and experience to help Pharmacy undergraduates. After a successful interview Kunjal was fortunate enough to be offered a position as Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice. She joined the Leicester School of Pharmacy in June 2020, bringing over 25 years of experience with her.
