Tim Barwell, ARB RIBA, joined The Leicester School of Architecture, DMU in 2014. He is a qualified Architect, educated at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, where his graduating thesis project won a number of awards including the Shephard Robson Sustainable Innovation award, he was also awarded the Building Design magazine standout graduating student award.
Tim has over 20 years of Architecture industry experience having worked in a number of award-winning Architecture practices in London, including two-time Sterling prize winners Wilkinson Eyre Architect, before founding his own practice in 2011 focusing on broadening public access to architecture and sustainable building.
Tim is a founder member of the national Architecture Apprenticeship Forum with the goal of further widening access to the architecture profession. Tim has been an invited lecturer and critic both nationally and internationally, this includes presenting a lecture on ‘UK Architectural Education’ as part of the summer school programme at the Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York.
